Kent Wildlife Trust's Education Team need your help to deliver an engaging and exciting educational programme and series of events at our education centres in Maidstone and Sevenoaks. This role is a great way to learn more about the education provision we provide at Kent Wildlife Trust and engage future generations with nature.
Role is based at Tyland Barn, Maidstone and/or Sevenoaks Nature Reserve.
Why do we need you?
We are looking for volunteers to support us in the delivery of our exciting education and engagement programmes. As an education volunteer, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in all aspects of education provision, including school visits, Nature Tots, Holiday Club and education outreach, and work with a range of ages and groups. You’ll become part of a passionate and dynamic team who are constantly striving to provide some of the best outdoor education in the county.
What will you be doing
Assist in the organisation and delivery of educational programmes and events, including:
- School group visits (from Reception up to A-Level)
- Educational outreach
- Forest School
- Nature Tots
- Wilder Holiday Club
Experience and skills needed for this role
- Flexible
- Enthusiastic
- No previous experience required
- Willing to work as part of a team
- Confident working with children
- Enjoy meeting new people
- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
- A passion for nature and wildlife

Considerations
- The volunteer role is open to applicants over the age of 18.
- A DBS check will be required for this role.
- We would be looking for someone who can commit at least one day a week.
- We will have availability throughout the year, but the peak period is between March and August.
