This exciting session gives learners the chance to experience Forest School and all that it has to offer. Forest School offers child-led, holistic learning experiences which help the development of the whole child—intellectually, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Through hands-on experiences in our woodland setting, Forest School aims to nurture curiosity, creativity, and a profound respect for the environment, fostering a lifelong love for learning and a sustainable relationship with nature.
Learners will spend time exploring the woodland, including den building and woodland crafts. Our Forest School Experience session is a perfect way to introduce learners and teachers to the benefits of Forest School.
Kent Wildlife Trust have a dedicated Forest School woodland area at our Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve and can also offer Forest School at Tyland Barn in Maidstone. Tyland Barn is a smaller, more contained site and does not have true woodland, however we are still able to offer many of the same activities, including den building and fire lighting.
