What is Nextdoor Nature?

Thanks to £5million funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, Nextdoor Nature will provide people with the advice and support they need to help nature on their doorstep, and leave a lasting natural legacy to mark The Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

Nextdoor Nature is being delivered in Dover by Kent Wildlife Trust and will give people the skills, tools, and opportunity to take action for nature.

Every one of us can make a difference to bring back nature and tackle climate change, by taking small actions that add up to big changes, but some of us just need a little bit of help to get started.

Welcome to Nextdoor Nature

Nextdoor Nature will be encouraging communities in Dover to get involved with designing and delivering transformational micro-projects to help nature thrive and make the places where they live, work and visit greener - so that everyone can benefit.

These fantastic projects could help to:

  • Empower people to create wilder, green places on their doorsteps, helping nature to thrive
  • Support people to develop the skills they need to act as environmental champions in their local areas
