About the reserve
Stone Wood is a tiny reserve that sits in the middle of a huge area of woodlands, meadows and ponds. We work with many like-minded neighbours, many of whom share our passion for our wonderful wildlife. The black and white wings of the white admiral can be seen exploring the sunny edges of the woods, whilst the nightingales compete for attention from the cover of blackthorn bushes. Wet in the winter, the surrounding tracks dry out in the summer, giving the visitor miles of bridleways to explore on bike or foot.
