As the project’s People Engagement Officer, I hosted over 150 free activities, engaging over 3,000 people. Sculpting, painting, photography and more were delivered within schools, community hubs and care homes.
Through allowing people to learn in a relaxed and creative environment, participants were able to explore the Commons through their own unique lens. Guided walks also invited the public to join us on the ground at the Commons to experience their beauty first-hand.
As a final legacy piece for the project, an education pack was released to local schools, allowing future generations to connect to the Commons through history, geography and science.

Our Greensand Commons project in Sevenoaks is one of many projects we're working on to help restore spaces for nature. This video showcases what we're doing and features comments from volunteers.
Become a nature hero
With the amount of work that needs to be done to rejuvenate natural spaces, every nature hero makes a huge difference — and we're always looking for more!
